App developers are often unaware of the needs of 20% of the global population who live with a disability. The AQuA Accessibility Testing Criteria helps them assess their app and ensure that it works well with teh accessibility features of the handset and results in an accessible app.

The Testing Criteria provides a framework of tests that can be applied to any app to examine the app's features and function from the points of view of persons with limitations of vision, hearing, speech, dexterity or cognition.

The immediate audience is App developers. This set of testing Criteria allow them to assure that their app can then be targetted at a wider audience globally.

There is nothing similar in the app development industry. This straightforward solution that is given to developers free (under a creative commons licence) has been developed by AQuA, a not-for-profit mobile app association focussing on app quality.

AQuA reaches developers all over the globe through trad shows, on-line events, on-line marketing. All of the AQuA resources are 'open source' and provided free to developers. Developers download AQuA documents from the web site over 500 times each month.
